In resonance with Kouzen Zaka.
The kwi kalbas (calabash bowl/gourd) is not restricted to just one lwa (spirit). Instead, this sacred vessel is used across almost all nanchon (nations) in Haitian Vodou, serving as a fundamental tool for offering, bathing, and performing ceremonies for various spirits. The lwa of agriculture (kouzen Zaka) heavily utilizes calabash tools for harvesting, food distribution, and carrying offerings. The kwi is highly revered by the Simbi family of lwa, as they are closely tied to the calabash tree and fresh waters.
Harvest, humble work, the dignity of the field — straw, moss, and denim.
